Taylor University students can now choose to major in Professional Writing with either a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. As Professional Writing majors have continued to move into various types of jobs, slight revisions and additions to the curriculum offer classes that touch on many types of writing possibilities from book publishing, news writing, magazine and article writing, technical writing, editing, and social media—in short, many areas where writing could be used as part of a job. And of course, we continue to encourage creative writers on their creative paths toward publishing. We go to writers conferences and we still have students doing a wide variety of internships to high praise from folks who had no idea students could be so well prepared for the various worlds of writing.
