We might be a little late getting this one up on the blog, but we were going through our files and remembered the amazing time we had with students during last year’s Write-to-Publish Conference. And since we are a little late getting this up, we will brag about this summer’s Write-to-Publish Conference and remind you all that it’s an experience everyone should try attending. Now for the unapologetic promoting:
Several students from the Taylor University Professional Writing program attended the Write-to-Publish conference in Wheaton, Illinois, summer 2016. Prof. Taylor taught a continuing class of four sessions on editing.
Students were able to attend panel discussions and workshops, network with many members of the Christian publishing world, as well as pitch their proposals to agents and acquisitions editors.
Students who attended included Kenzie Nevins, Alycia Timm, Sarah Gorman, Hope Bolinger, Jessica Lehman, and Lincoln Reed. We had fun meeting up with PWR alums Katie Bolds and Nichole Parks who were at the conference representing the publishing house where they work. We have much to be proud of.
